Our backyard around 7pm last night. The gusts had slowed down a little bit, but you can still see the snow coming down. If the boys want to go over to the neighbors, I guess I don't have to worry about them ripping the seats out of their pants on the fence. They can just walk right over it.
My sweet husband shoveled last night for three hours from 7-10pm. He wanted to get a jump on those piles of snow in case it froze. I took this shot from the attic bedroom window.
He simply amazes me.
Seriously, look at the snow blowing across the picture.
Now for today. . . around 9am Andy looked out the window and then ran to get his snow gear on. Turns out some neighbors across the street were dumping the snow back on the pile in front of our van, which was therefore enclosing our van again. (I don't think they meant to be rude. There just isn't room for the snow, but I still think they could pile a little bit more on their side of the road.)
"Mr. Plow, that's my name. That name again is Mr. Plow."

Shoveling the sidewalk.

Our road.

Shoveled sidewalk.

Yet another picture of our backyard. Notice the swings and the wind carvings.

Anyone planning on grilling today? I didn't think so.

Abric at his favorite perch.

As a side note, Andy and I are just laughing at the fact that we have to try and move in the middle of all this. Our closing was scheduled for today, but we still don't have the Certificate of Occupancy--- the builder hasn't been able to get anyone out to inspect the house due to the weather. Our closing has been tentatively post-poned for Tuesday, with the holiday on Monday. The funniest part, when I was calling around moving trucks, one lady wouldn't even rent one of their trucks to us. She said, "These are our business trucks and we can't risk them getting into an accident."
We just keep telling ourselves that we will get through this! (I just can't wait until it is over!)
I had to call all the utilities and have the service start/stop dates changed. The schools are all closed, but I need to call them to let them know that the boys' transfer dates will be changed. Ay yay yay!
