Happy Pioneer Day!

I have been going through old family pictures today, feeling rather nostalgic and obviously procrastinating everything that needs accomplished today. So, in honor of Pioneer Day (the day the Mormon Pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley, July 24th, 1847) I thought I would post a couple photos of some of my ancestors.

Joined the church in England and came across on a ship with his young family.
Crossed the plains five times to help pioneers make it to Utah.

Here I am in front of Devil's Slide in Croydon, UT where my great-grandpa Toone used to herd sheep through the slide to take them up to the mountain pastures.

I am so grateful for the faith of my ancestors. I am also grateful for all 'pioneers', who stand up for what they believe to be true. I hope my boys will be brave enough to do this as well.
