Nap time

Have you ever had a toddler who learned how to open the door and come out of his room during nap time?

Have you ever had to lock the door so said toddler would stay in his room and take his much-needed nap?

Have you ever wondered what he does in the room before he falls asleep?
He gets into his big brother's underwear drawer and puts his 'sleeping cap' on.

(Of course, Zane woke him up about 5 minutes after I took this picture so the nap didn't last very long. grrrrr....)
So, I think Ewan is phasing out of his nap. He is too young to do this, but I simply cannot get him to take a nap. I have tried everything, including locking the door to his room. On really rough days, (meaning he is so tired that he is beyond sleep) I leave him up there for an hour and he still won't go to sleep. He will get really quiet for a good 10 minute stretch, but then he will yell out something to the effect of, "I'm better now!" Ewan, sweety, you aren't sick, you just need to take a nap!
