Proud Papa

We woke up to 19 more fish yesterday morning. Andy couldn't be happier or more excited. . . seriously.
You may have to click on the picture to be able to see those tiny fishies. When we noticed the mother may be pregnant, we had to put her in this separate contraption. I guess Molly's eat their babies. Survival of the fittest, folks.

Update as of 01/03: Andy was on the phone with his mom tonight and all of a sudden I hear him yell, "Oh my gosh my fish had another baby!!" Apparently one of his tetras had babies, but only one survived. He did so by hiding behind the rocks, which explains the other fish constantly circling outside the rock pile.

Our new pets

Unbelievably enough, we now are the proud owners of fish.... probably the only type of pet that I can sanely handle right now. (I live with 5 boys...I have enough to clean up after in my life right now.) Andy has been wanting a fish tank since before we got married....even longer than that, he says. Thanks to Andy's Uncle Steve, he brought this fish tank for us to use. It is a ginormous 70 gallon tank.
We have started off small, with 9 little fish. (Andy called them 'Mollies', but I just know they are not gold fish.) It has been fun to watch them swim around. The boys are super excited and have been wracking their brains for interesting names. Abric even loves to watch them.
Dinner time is their favorite time of the day (both for my boys and the fish, it's a toss-up).
